Bookings
All bookings are made in agreement with these terms and conditions.
Customers must enter and leave Winterton Hound Ground at the time frame they reserved.
There are 3 parking bays to allow space for waiting customers. At the end of your session, kindly vacate the parking area as soon as possible to guarantee that this space is kept open for everyone’s safety.
Your confirmation email will confirm the date and time reserved. A second email sent the day before your booking, or within 15 minutes if your booking is for the same day, will contain the gate access code you need to enter Winterton Hound Ground; be sure to check the inbox, spam and/or junk folder before each visit as the gate code may have changed. The client is responsible for making sure they are familiar with the most recent gate code for their reservation. This code must not be divulged to anyone and the gate must not be left unlocked at any time.
All clients must collect and return all toys and clean up after their dogs as a condition of the rental; bins and biodegradable waste bags are provided. If this is not adhered to, you run the risk of being banned.
Payment by credit/debit card must be made at the time of booking. If you would rather pay in another way, please call 07562792353. Until payment has been received, reservations will remain as pending (and subject to cancellation by Winterton Hound Ground).
If you are late for your reservation, you must still depart at your allotted time.
It is the client’s obligation to ensure that they have received a confirmation email prior to coming to Winterton Hound Ground. If such an e-mail has not been received, please contact us immediately on 07562792353 before your allotted time. Entry to Winterton Hound Ground will not be permitted without a reservation.
The individual making the reservation accepts the responsibility of making sure that everyone in their party is informed of the rules.
Cancellations
Only if the cancellation is made 48 hours prior to the date and time of the reserved slot will a full refund be given or the slot moved to a different day and/or time.
Although every effort will be taken to avoid it, Winterton Hound Ground has the right to cancel your reservation. Should this be necessary, you will be contacted and a full refund or an alternative time slot will be provided.
Health and Behaviour of Dogs
All dogs must meet current immunisation and worming requirements.
If these medical standards cannot be met, Winterton Hound Ground has the right to request additional documentation and deny entrance until received.
Please DO NOT bring any pets that are unwell but especially those with kennel cough, vomiting, and/or diarrhoea.
Should we determine that any dog is undesirable owing to their behaviour or health condition, Winterton Hound Ground retains the right to terminate any hire agreements with immediate effect.
Dogs must never be left and must always be supervised.
XL Bully and Other UK Banned Breeds
The following dog breeds are classified as banned breeds under the Dangerous Dog Act;
- Pit Bull Terrier
- Japanese Tosa
- Dogo Argentino
- Fila Brasileiro
- XL Bully
These breeds are welcomed at Winterton Hound Ground but the following list of requirements must be met:
- The dog is registered with the index of exempted dog (IED)
- Public liability insurance is in place
- Dog handler ratio is 1:1 at all times. However, if there is more than one dog from the same household, they can come to the Hound Ground together, but the banned breed dog must have its own handler and then another handler needs to be present to supervise the other dogs. If there is more than 1 banned breed in the household, they may also come together but each dog must have their own handler.
- Only dogs from the same household as the banned breed can attend the same slot at the Hound Ground.
- The dog is neutered – in line with Government Rules
- The dog is Micro Chipped
- The dog is kept on a lead and muzzled until the gate is shut when entering the field
- The dog is put back on a lead and muzzled before opening the gate to leave the field
- Once in the Hound Ground, the lead and muzzle can be removed and a fun run time can be had
Children
Children must always be accompanied by and under the supervision of an adult, they must not be allowed to climb on the furniture, fence, gate, equipment or other objects. Winterton Hound Ground disclaims all liability for any children that may be present and if any items are damaged or broken due to mis-use then the responsible adult/parents will be charged.
Water
Fresh water bowls are provided but if you would prefer, you are welcome to bring your own bowl; just remember to take it home with you when your session is over.
Play Equipment
All play equipment is provided specifically for dogs. If any items are damaged or broken due to mis-use then the responsible adult/parents will be charged. Please put all used toys back in the wall rack and put any that may have been broken in the bin that is provided.
None of the provided equipment may be taken; it is all property of Winterton Hound Ground.
Winterton Hound Ground reserves the right to add or remove equipment at any time and without warning.
Customers acknowledge and accept that the owners always have complete ownership and possession of Winterton Hound Ground and any supplied equipment. No rights to the land are granted by hiring Winterton Hound Ground.
Security
With frequent inspections, Winterton Hound Ground will make every effort to ensure the field is secure. However, because of the rural location, there is the potential for wildlife to damage the fencing. If you have any security concerns, kindly let us know immediately.
Dogs that escape are not the responsibility of Winterton Hound Ground.
Please do not let dogs jump up at the fence and gate or dig holes. Please notify us immediately of any holes your dog makes so that they can be filled in so there is no risk of harm to others.
Due to its rural setting, Winterton Hound Ground is subject to a few risks, including but not limited to wild animal burrows, uneven terrain, and slippery/muddy conditions due to certain weather situations. Any injuries or losses, human or canine are not the responsibility of Winterton Hound Ground.
24hr CCTV is in operation.
Safety
In the car park, dogs must be on a lead when entering and exiting the Hound Ground. Please ensure the gate to Winterton Hound Ground is securely closed after entering and secure the gate chain to the provided hook to prevent anyone gaining entry whilst you are within the field.
Please wait in your car if you arrive early for your time slot. DO NOT get out of your vehicle until the previous client is back in their vehicle with their dog(s) or, if on foot, has left the parking area before getting out.
Should someone remain past their scheduled time slot or access the Hound Ground before scheduled, (this can happen if the gate chain is not secured) please notify Winterton Hound Ground immediately on 07562792353.
Even if the following client is waiting, please close the gate as soon as you leave. This will guarantee that only clients that have made reservations can gain access.
DO NOT pass the gate code on to others or allow them access if they are not included in the booking.
On-site usage of barbecues, open fires, or smoking is strictly prohibited.
All clients are advised to get their dogs insured for the duration of their rental, including third party liability.
Winterton Hound Ground is for canine activity only.
Please clean up after your dogs, yourselves and leave Winterton Hound Ground as you found it.
Winterton Hound Ground is a fenced natural grass field that is uneven and can be slippery when wet. Please ensure you take all necessary precautions.
Winterton Hound Ground disclaims all liability for any client fatalities, injuries, or property losses while on the premises. Customers utilises the car park, toilet, Hooman Hut, all facilities available and Winterton Hound Ground at their own risk.
No responsibility is accepted by Winterton Hound Ground for any person or dog-related injuries, deaths or associated medical costs.
The car park can accommodate a maximum of 3 vehicles. Should the car park be full on arrival, customers are requested not to park on Edward Road between the entrance to Winterton Hound Ground and the Hemsby Road junction.
Data Protection and Privacy Statement
To carry out its business operations, Winterton Hound Ground must act as a data controller with regard to collecting and using personal data about individuals.
We are dedicated to security and protecting your privacy and work to keep your information safe against unauthorised or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction, and damage.
We have appropriate physical, technological, and organisational safeguards in place to protect and secure the information we collect to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure.
Your information is not disclosed to third parties by us.
The rights to modify these terms and conditions, without previous notification, are reserved by Winterton Hound Ground.
